type='text'>How to Find the Best of the Miami Cheap Hotels

The Miami is the place to visit if you are looking to have some fun and good time. The crowd and the people are extremely good. This could be really exciting. The Hollywood movies show that Miami is the place to be then why don’t you check it out. The place is a real beauty and the people too. The Miami cheap hotels are also there to make your stay even better. Some of you would not even have thought how good a place Miami is. There are college students who come over to spend the week-end and have lot of fun. The place has a cool climate and very nice evenings. The place looks very beautiful in the night and its centre of attraction is its beaches. The beaches are full of people from various places and everyone just loves to be there.

In order to have a nice time in the city you would have to have good hotels. There are many Miami cheap hotels that one can find. The most of the people who are going for a world tour should see that they do not over spend. You might be thinking that we are going only once then why not take up an expensive hotel. But if you are here to visit all the places then you would not want be staying back at the hotel then what is the use of the hotel when you are going to come back and sleep and next day get up and go for side seeing.

The people who would come and stay in Miami should also know that selecting a hotel would also depend on the no. of days that they are going to stay. If you are likely to stay for only the weekend then a hotel with good luxuries would do but if you are staying for more than 3 days then you should select one of the Miami cheap hotels which are good but are affordable. When you stay for more days your expenses would increase and so you need to save some money which can be spent on other purposes.

The Miami has many points of attraction in and around the city and one can book the Miami cheap hotels from the place where they are coming from. They do not have to book the hotels after their arrival as it can be hectic. The online booking of the hotels is very easy and convenient too. You would be able to have many advantages and the biggest one is that you can compare various hotels and their tariffs and discounts with the other hotels. The hotels which have good rooms, interior, services, security and food should be your optimum choice.

The location of the hotel is also another important aspect in choosing the right kind of Miami cheap hotels. The hotels that are located at the outskirts of the city and offer you better rates than the hotels in the city then it would be a bad choice as the travelling charges would be higher. You should select a hotel that is located in the centre of the city and from where attraction points are not far.

South Africa, Zambia and Mauritius - A Perfect Safari/ Beach Itinerary

On arrival at 0900 you will be met and transferred to the Royal Livingstone Hotel where you stay for two nights (bed and breakfast).

The Royal Livingstone, on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls brings a new level of luxury and sophistication to this world-famous region. This comfortable modern, well equipped hotel is an excellent base from which to see the waterfall and enjoy the many activities on the river and around the Falls.

The bedrooms are two-storey clusters inspired by the grand estate houses of a bygone era. Each cluster comprises ten en-suite air-conditioned rooms with private balconies and terraces that offer spectacular views of the Zambezi river and beyond.

Each room offers a quiet retreat from the ruggedness of Africa, with large shaded verandas and open spaces cooled by swirling fans and tall shutters. The travellers bar and lounge is a place where guests can relax under thatched shade, decorated in greens, creams and ebony. There is a large pool and the restaurants are very good, serving international cuisine.

While you are at Victoria Falls, you can enjoy a wide range of activities, including flights across the waterfall by helicopter and light aircraft, white water rafting, canoeing, sundowner cruises and safaris. Guests can also walk to the mile wide waterfall, which can be viewed from several vantage points along the network of pathways.

Days 4 to 6

In the late morning you will be returned to Livingstone Airport where you board a scheduled flight departing at 1300 to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. Arrive at 1440 and connect with a further scheduled flight departing at 1600 to Cape Town’s International Airport. On arrival at 1810 you will be met and transferred to the Cape Grace Hotel where you stay for three nights in a luxury double room (bed and breakfast).

The Cape Grace is quite simply one of the finest hotels in Africa, set in a superb private position on Cape Town’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with views towards the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the immense flat-topped expanse of Table Mountain to the other. The atmosphere at the hotel combines genuine warmth and friendliness with a very high standard of service and efficiency and while you are here the hotel will be pleased to arrange any excursions in and around Cape Town, either on a private or shared basis. Surrounding the hotel is the Cape Waterfront complex with entertainment, shops and attractive restaurants in an area which is safe to wander around during the day and in the evening.

The Cape Grace is privately owned and not part of a large chain and this is reflected in the comfortable elegance of the furnishings and décor of the rooms, suites and public areas. There are eighty one spacious luxury rooms, ten superior rooms which have balconies with fine views, and eighteen luxury loft rooms which are a located on the top floor, each with terrace and access to their own private lounge facilities. In addition, there are ten suites and two penthouses.

The hotel has a library and lounge, two restaurants and a bar, and on the top floor a fully equipped spa and heated swimming pool. Guests also have complimentary access to a conveniently located health club.

In 1652, Jan van Riebeeck sailed into Table Bay on the north Cape Peninsula and laid the foundations of South Africa’s oldest settlement, Cape Town. Three hundred and fifty years of history have been preserved in much of Cape Town’s architecture, which combines attractively with the more functional demands of the 21st century.

The Houses of Parliament, National Gallery, Museum and Planetarium are all within ambling distance of elegant shopping malls and colourful markets, which entice shoppers to browse and buy everything from souvenirs to African art, gems and antiques. In the last ten years, the restoration of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront dockland area evokes images of 19th century seafaring activities and provides a superb setting for an array of cafes, restaurants and bars. From here, you can take boat trips round the harbour and out across Table Bay.

Dominating the city’s skyline and flanked by Devils Peak is the looming mass of Table Mountain, and visitors should not miss the opportunity to ascend Table Mountain by cable car. The view of the City and the south Atlantic from the summit is quite magnificent.

There is a wide range of excursions and activities in and around Cape Town including visits to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner, visits to Townships where you can enjoy lunch and exposure to Africa’s vibrant urban culture. To the south lies the scenic Peninsula with its attractive sandy bays and pretty little towns. There are remote penguin colonies which can be visited by boat and canoe, and from July to November you can set off further afield in search of southern right whales. The more adventurous can even go looking for sharks in special “caged diving” facilities.

An hour’s drive to the east of Cape Town lie the Cape Winelands where you find beautiful undulating scenery covered in ancient vineyards and fruit orchards. There are literally dozens of ancient wineries, many of which are open for tastings and lunch and which have magnificent estate houses. For the golfer there are several beautifully maintained championship golf courses, and the attractive little towns of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are each worth a visit.

Days 7 to 10

In the morning you will be returned to Cape Town’s International Airport where you board a scheduled flight departing at 1000 to Kruger’s Mpumalanga Airport. On arrival at 1235 you will be met and transferred twenty minutes by light aircraft to Londolozi’s Founders Camp where you stay for four nights (inclusive of meals and activities).

Londolozi Founders Camp is one of South Africa’s finest safari lodges, situated on the prime Sabi Sands Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. On this reserve the open savannah, woodland and riverine bush supports an amazing range of wildlife. There are large herds of elephants, buffalo and giraffe, many types of antelope ranging from timid impala to great kudu with their great majestic curved horns. Prehistoric looking rhinoceros can be found, while in the rivers there are hippopotamus and crocodiles. Londolozi is also an excellent place for spotting predators - lion, leopard and cheetah are all regularly seen.

Founders Camp comprises just five chalets and one suite, set in thickly forested bush overlooking the Sand River. Each of the chalets is beautifully designed and air conditioned with large beds, elegant furniture and en suite bathroom with bath, shower and twin hand basins, while outside is a large viewing deck.

The guides at Londolozi are among the best in South Africa with great knowledge and love of this exciting reserve. They will take you game viewing by open vehicle, during the day and at night, when you might spot nocturnal creatures such as aardvark, civit and leopard, with a spot light and they will also take you on walks where the guide will be armed, demonstrating his amazing tracking skills and give you an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of feeling Africa under your feet, learning a huge amount about the bush as you go.

Founders Camp has a good sized swimming pool and there is a covered lounge area. You will find the standard of cuisine and management excellent.

Day 11

In the morning you will be returned by light aircraft to Kruger’s Mpumalanga Airport where you board a scheduled flight departing at 1425 to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. On arrival at 1530 you will be met and transferred to the Safari Club where you stay for one night (bed and breakfast).

An oasis of calm just four minutes from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport, the Safari Club offers superior accommodation and warm hospitality. Opened on the 1st November 2007, with seventeen luxury en-suite rooms for the safari traditionalist, designed for both the foreign and local traveller in Southern Africa.

The Safari Club is privately owned and run by renowned hotelier Emile Muller, offering his guests a true African experience on the doorstep of Southern Africa’s gateway.

Every room has been carefully decorated to a specific area eg. Kalahari room, Etosha room, Okavango room etc. There are a number of lounges for relaxation as well as a bar, breakfast room and a newly installed swimming pool for those hot summer days. The bar theme has been dedicated to the famous Nguni cattle and covered with beautiful memorabilia.

Days 12 to 15

In the morning you will be met and returned to the airport where you board flight BA6399 departing at 0900 to Mauritius. On arrival at 1510 you will be met and transferred to Le Telfair where you stay for four nights (half board).

Le Telfair is a superb five-star property located on the south west corner of Mauritius, occupying a beautiful site with a 2km beach frontage and luxurious tropical gardens. The hotel is adjacent to its own 3500-acre nature reserve where you find birds and small mammals including deer.

Le Telfair accommodates guests in twenty very spacious two-storey plantation style villas, each having between six and eight rooms and suites, all of which are constructed and furnished in light shades of wood to a very high standard and with attractive light-coloured décor. As well as the beaches, its easy access from the U.K., endless hours of sunshine and excellent watersports there are also plenty of campsites and mobile homes to choose from, which makes this location ideal for a family break. The trouble is that with so many campsites available, it’s hard to know which one to choose. I intend to make it a little bit clearer by giving my top five family-friendly campsites in The Vendee.

Camping le Clarys Plage

If your family’s idea of a great holiday is to enjoy the beach, and to spend time swimming in a fun and feature packed pool complex, then Camping le Clarys Plage may be just the campsite for you. The golden sands of the local beach are just 5 minutes walk away, while the pool provides excellent facilities for children and parents alike. There are plenty of slides, a jacuzzi, fountains and a separate covered pool and paddling pool for the children and toddlers. There is also evening entertainment throughout the season, and while there’s no restaurant or shop on site, a fine selection of bars and eateries are just a short walk away.

Camping les Biches

This is one of my favourite campsites in the Vendee, and is ideal for active families. As well as being close to the golden sands of the coast, Camping les Biches has a varied range of sporting activities and play areas for children of all ages. There’s a fantastic indoor and outdoor pool complex, a playground ideal for toddlers and a family friendly mini-golf course. On top of this, there are many other sports facilities including tennis, table tennis and volleyball. Finally, the site entertainment varies from live bands, to discos and karaoke. All of which will ensure your family have a fantastic holiday whilst enjoying the comfort and luxuries of a mobile home in the Vendee.

Camping La Garangeoire

You may think that travelling to a campsite based in the countryside will limit the family friendly fun you can have whilst camping in the Vendee, but Camping La Garangeoire looks to dispel this myth. It’s been awarded ‘three Red Tents’ by Michelin and it boasts some of the best activities onsite for children including a playroom, mini golf, pony rides, archery and pedaloes. On top of this, there’s also the excellent swimming pool which has plenty of water slides. Adults can relax at the peaceful lake onsite whilst enjoying a spot of fishing.

Camping Les Ecureuils

Nestled in the heart of the forests of the Vendee, Camping les Ecureuils boasts not only a Michelin three red tent rating but also a safe haven for families with small children. The campsite has a safe and friendly environment with plenty of space for energetic children to play. Families can enjoy the L-shaped pool (with separate children’s pool), as well as the lively entertainment program which includes magic shows and live music.

Camping La Yole

If you want to combine the golden sands of the coast as well as the forests of other campsites in the Vendee, then Camping la Yole is for you. Set in the heart of nature, this is a perfect location for those who want to relax whilst the children are off enjoying the pool complex which includes a large outdoor pool, children’s pool, heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi and waterslides. There’s also plenty of family friendly entertainment in high season too, with magic shows and discos guaranteed to keep the whole family amused during their stay on this fantastic campsite in the Vendee.

Holidaying in a tent or mobile home in the Vendee is a great choice for those with families. The resort style facilities and entertainment both onsite and nearby will keep children of all ages happy during your stay. All of these campsites will offer you a great break for you and your family no matter which one you choose.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308534&ca=Travel

Cultural Experiences in Namibia and South Africa By Janie Harmsen

The Cape Grace nestled at the foot of Table Mountain

Namibia and South Africa are a great combination for a perfect luxury African vacation. The women are easily recognised with their intricate hairstyles and traditional accessories. They also rub their skin with a blend of red ochre and fat which keeps their skin soft and protects it from the harsh desert climate.

One of their most notable rituals is the ‘okoruwo’ or fire ritual. Their belief is that the fire is a method of contacting the dead and it is kept burning until the death of a headman. The Makanda - “the Zulu blues” - music of a man walking the long miles to court a bride or to meet with his chief. Music about real life experiences, the joys and sorrows of life and the world around him.

The beautiful music of Isicathamiya which gained international acclaim through the highly talented Ladsmith Black Mambazo’ collaboration with Paul Simon. This form of music takes the form of a call and response with a choir led by a main singer who is usually the composer of the songs.

Thanda Private Game Reserve is a luxury Lodge in Northern Zululand that focusses on giving you an authentic Zulu cultural experience. The highlight of which is the Impi dancing. It is a form of dance that is performed pre an dpost battle - a tradition that has been passed down from King Shaka Zulu.

Cape Town - Cape Minstrels’ Carnival - 2 January

The annual Kaapse Klopse (Cape Minstrels Carnival) is an annual New Years festival that celebrates the history of the Cape slaves and marks the one day in the year that the slaves were given off by their masters. It is a colourful and flambouyant parade with live music and entertainment. Cape Town is a cosmopolitan city with a diverse and interesting mix of cultures and architecture and there is plenty to delight even the most seasoned of travellers throughout the year. The luxurious Cape Grace Hotel on the waterfront is the perfect base from which to explore this vibrant city and its beautiful winelands.

Mpumalanga

The Shangaans live in areas between the Kruger National Park and the Drakensberg Mountains. Their culture is celebrated at the shangana Cultural Village, a village between the southern Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon. The Shangaan people love music and have developed many musical instruments. A visit to this friendly village is a wonderful opportunity to experience the Shangaans culture and way of life. A night in Mpumalanga is perfect after a great safari experience at Londolozi in the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307836&ca=Travel

Spa and Costa Rica - The Spa Destination Experience By Lisa Khajavi

Enhance your health and mood with tropical treasures.

Imagine if the delicious cup of coffee, the freshly made piña colada, the exotic fragrance of wild orchids, or the rich rainforest chocolate could be part of your spa experience. By featuring these, and many other ingredients, within various health, relaxation and beauty treatments, the spa pampering that you will receive here will give you a unique, personal connection to the local environment here in lush Costa Rica. Many of the products can be purchased to take home with you so you can rejuvenate when back home as well, while being reminded of your exotic journey to Costa Rica.

Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse and intense places on the entire planet. Each region has its own microclimates with specific representative flora and fauna to dazzle you. It is amazing how many things grow and flourish here, providing an incredible array of fruits, nuts, spices and oils which end up in hand-made organic spa products. Many spas offer a holistic or integral service of international quality, in a warm and personalized manner characteristic of the Costa Rican people. Add the wondrous source of natural, local ingredients such as coffee, brown sugar, coconut, papaya, mango, sea salt, organic rainforest chocolate and the result is magical; a small taste of the treasures in store for you here. These local gems in the able hands of soothing local practitioners will put you into relaxed bliss, leaving you thinking about your time here long after you leave. What a way to enhance your trip- this is Pura Vida!

One of my favorite places is Hotel Punta Islita in the Nicoya Peninsula, home to the Casa Spa which artfully incorporates herbalist wisdom from the local Chorotega tribe into their treatments. Punta Islita’s own organic garden provides the ingredients for many of the spa’s treatments. According to Dorelia Mulca, director of the Casa Spa, the current trend is to return to our origins, where great value is placed on the natural. “We must not forget that the ancestral indigenous shamans would heal with herbs and rituals,” she points out. Choose from an array of wonderful treatments for him or her, families, athletes, kids, teens even special treatments for women that are pregnant. The Punta Islita Ritual massage is amazing, featuring heated river stones, herbal oil-infused compress ball, and a Guaro Cacique (local Costa Rican sugar cane spirits) drizzle. The Guanacaste Traditions body treatment and massage uses papaya, mango, banana and pineapple which smells and feels great, and leaves your skin super smooth. The Cappuccino Massage with almond oil and chocolate or the Green Coffee Pick-Me-Up (detoxifying with organic coffee beans) are to die for. There are so many to choose from using ingredients such as cucumber, mint, aloe, orange, honey, volcanic mud, avocado, sesame oil, rosemary, vanilla, honeysuckle, golden algae; the list goes on! Dorelia has done a terrific job. The hotel is also stunning and has a great mix of nature, art and community in a stunning setting. Check out the local church and school built with the design and funding of the architect and his wife Ronald Zurcher. The infinity pool at the top of the resort is great, but you can also enjoy a pool lower at the seaside, and dine there also to the sounds of the sea.

Another great spot is the Neidín Spa at Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa in the basin of the majestic Arenal Volcano in the Inland Volcano area. In Bribri indigenous dialect, the word neidín means small nest or point of rest to recover lost energy. Thanks to amazing views, excellent service, and top quality treatments, you can’t help but leave the spa with a sense of complete luxury and well-being. Tocando El Cielo is a great pampering and includes a grape pulp wrap, followed by an orange and honey polish, a “wave” massage (two therapists and four hands), an exotic herb and flower bath and a glass of sparkling wine to finish; scrumptious! The Chocolate Fantasy is the ultimate; starting with the chocolate and sugar glow, followed by the sweet chocolate body wrap and finishing with a super aromatic mint and chocolate bath. This is the nicest hotel in Arenal, with stunning views of the volcano. Don’t miss the trails surrounding the property that are gorgeous with the species of fauna marked for you.

The newest destination by Grupo Islita of Hotel Punta Islita is El Silencio Lodge & Spa nestled within the cloud forest of Los Bajos del Toro. Located just an hour and a half away from San Jose in the inland central volcanic region, treatments at The Wellness Spa are just as natural as the sounds of nature surrounding it. It offers a menu designed to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. Recommendations: El Silencio Purifying Revival Massage in the cone room. This is an aromatherapy massage treatment utilizing hot oil compress ball with herbs like thyme, oregano and mint meant to increase relaxation. The cone-shaped room was specifically designed to capture positive energy from the forest that surrounds it, with the intent of enhancing the effectiveness of the treatments. Also offered are packages that combine wraps, exfoliating treatments, facials and aromatherapy using more fabulous ingredients: lime, honey, volcanic clay, coconut, carrot, and so on. The hotel’s organic orchard on property supplies fruits and vegetables to be used in the treatments. For couples the Meditation Duet is amazing. It starts with an organic herbal massage, followed by the brown sugar, vanilla and coconut body polish accompanied by organic wild blackberries and sparkling wine, such bliss! You can hike in splendor, visit nearby canopy zip-lines, river rafting trips and horseback riding. This place is heaven in the cloud forest.

Next is the place with my favorite view in all of the Quepos area: Hotel El Parador Boutique Resort & Spa. Located on the Central Pacific Coast in a region of great beauty, El Parador boasts gorgeous, panoramic ocean views. This gem is close to the Manuel Antonio National Park where you can hike through the park to pristine white sand beaches, viewing a myriad of wildlife along the way. Back at the hotel, the Pacífica Spa offers all kinds of natural treatments, including special day packages. Highlights include sand exfoliation, aloe vera relief wrap (if you have had too much sun), and the papaya and honey facial. The ginger-orange body mask is invigorating and super aromatic. The ylang-ylang milk bath is especially soothing. For men the Naturally for Him is excellent which includes a relaxing exfoliating cappuccino bath, a volcanic mud wrap with a hydrotherapeutic massage, a facial and a hot stone massage. Also offered are yoga lessons and a special place designed for couple’s massages with a spectacular ocean view. All spa visitors receive a plate of fruits. The spa also has its own line of products.

Another option near Manuel Antonio National Park is the only 5 star hotel in the area: Gaia Hotel & Reserve featuring the Terra Spa. The surrounding forest reserve is a perfect backdrop for the spa with great sounds and sensations. This hotel is very modern and elegant with clean long lines and great light. Terra Spa offers an array of treatments and therapies that use organic natural products, many of which are certified and produced by locals that also follow the sustainable concept adopted by the hotel. Terra Tuning is one of the most popular and holistic packages. This 4 hour splurge includes a sauna session, Reiki chakra balancing, Thai massage, and organic facial treatment using all local hand-made products. The organic facial is called the Arco Iris and includes Papaya Exfoliation Polish, Citrus Cleansing Lemon Meringue Mask, and Mango Dream Hydrating Cream. Part of the facial is a sumptuous acupressure scalp and foot massage. Also available is the “Vichy Rain Shower,” which consists of a hydrotherapeutic massage of a warm rain shower in the tropical forest where you select your desired temperature and which is recommended to follow with an exfoliation. Elegance and sophistication in the rainforest!

Last but not least is another all-time favorite, Xandari Resort & Spa. Located in tropical paradise some 1,200 meters above sea level and boasting a beautiful view of the Central Valley, the Xandari Spa is located at only 20 minutes away from Juan Santamaría International Airport in Alajuela. This is fabulous on your way in and out of San Jose traveling internationally, you can do fabulous day trips or half-day trips very easily from Xandari to Poas Volcano, Doka Coffee Tour, Sarchi, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Sarapiqui, Reventazon, or Pacuare River Rafting, Villa Blanca Canopy Tour and many others. One of the Xandari Spa’s outstanding feature is that each spa treatment provides you your own palm-thatched jalapa with its own Jacuzzi. There you may experience the feeling of mind, body and soul melting into nature in complete privacy. One of the big treats is Xandari Heaven, which involves three hours of enjoyment in your private jalapa: Jacuzzi jets, followed by an aromatherapy treatments for your hair, exfoliation for your entire body and a soft or deep massage of your choice. Some of the key special treatments that focus on local ingredients include: Selva de Osa mud wrap using 100% natural sediment from the Osa Peninsula, Coffee and Macademia Buff to polish and hydrate your skin, or Papaya Body Polish. The views, service, architecture, art all come together for a unique and special Costa Rica experience only 20 minutes from San Jose’s International Airport. How would you like to pack your bags now and fly to Sardinia, Italy?

Perfect weather

Sardinia is a wonderful place to visit for tourists from anywhere in the world. Blessed with long summers and mild winters, Sardinia never snows or freezes. In fact, on warm sunny days of winter, you can find a sheltered spot on a beach and actually sunbathe. The mild winters make Sardinia an ideal vacation place all year long. On the other hand, hot summer days in Sardinia are refreshed by the frequent Mistral wind.

Lots of outdoor activities

The Italian island offers all the amenities today’s travelers would not want to miss out on. Whether you’re traveling with 2 or 20 people, Sardinia is a great getaway place that will satisfy even the most hard-to-please tourists.

If you want to swim in beaches, choose between Golfo degli Aranci, [Porto Rotondo, Portisco and Porto Cervo and Costa Smeralda where the rich and famous go. If you want a brush with history, visit the Tombe dei Giganti near Arzachena and San Pantaleo. These are ancient stone towers that date back from the 6th to 11th century.

Every week in the village of San Pantaleo is held a characteristical market where anyone can purchase all sorts of items: from coins and stamps to old clothes, bags, books and car parts.

Relaxation

Italy is home to a great number of spa and wellness boutiques that offer holistic treatments. Find harmony and balance; indulge in a full body massage. Clear your mind and treat yourself for an aromatherapy session.

Also, most hotels in Sardinia have relaxation amenities like Turkish bath, sauna, Jacuzzi, and fitness centers as well as in San Pantaleo.

Safe neighborhood

Generally, Sardinia is a safe place to stay tourists. In the small towns, people still leave their cars with the key inside and their houses open. However, be more careful about locking up during the month of August, when many tourists and visitors are around. If you are in Costa Smeralda, however, there is nothing to worry about because residents have their private guards doing round-the-clock surveillance and ensuring excellent security in the area.

Nightlife

If you like long nights of conversations and partying, there’s a place for you in Sardinia. Nightlife on the Costa Smeralda offers varied choices: simple and laid-back, or upbeat and fashionable, where Europe's glitterati flock during July and August. You can choose among the relaxed piano bars on the piazzetta in Porto Cervo or go for the more frenzied Billionaire Club, owned by the famous Flavio Briatore of Benetton the Formula One racing team.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308401&ca=Travel

Newcastle City Way Aye Champion Man By Stanley Headley

Originally a large industrial city, Newcastle is now a booming, modern city with financial areas, shopping districts and a large nod towards tourism, which has seen several Newcastle hotels and accommodation being built in recent years.

Renowned for its educational facilities, Newcastle University is firmly established as a School of Medicine and Surgery and has been for over 150 years, winning the coveted award of ‘University of the Year’ in the past decade

Similar to the London Underground system, Newcastle has its own famous Metro system. Serving 37 million passengers each year, the Metro is a local transport link, opened in 1980. Covering a vast area, it provides a service in the City Centre to as far out as Newcastle Airport and along into neighbouring Sunderland. The main difference between the Newcastle Metro and any other similar system in the UK? It’s the first to be able to provide mobile reception when underground and through tunnels.

Whilst using the Metro when in Newcastle is a popular choice, getting to Newcastle can be just as easy. Road and rail provide direct links from all over the Country, whilst Newcastle International Airport provides access to and from over 90 destinations worldwide.

When in Newcastle, the things to do are endless. The first port of call for most is Newcastle’s famous shopping areas. Three major shopping districts exist, with the largest being Eldon Square. Incorporating many high street names, Eldon Square is home to often large variations of these stores. Fenwick department store is housed here, as is a large John Lewis and one of the largest and most profitable Marks and Spencer’s outside of the capital London. Getting to Eldon Square, you have to walk down Newcastle’s main shopping street, Northumberland Street. The high street names here are endless and there really is something for everyone. Fashion, food and music dominate the area, making it a popular area for all.

Newcastle’s nightlife doesn’t often require much explanation. The City is renowned for being fun and vibrant, with its many bars and restaurants often packed out every weekend, with both visitors and those who live in the City. The nightlife in Newcastle provides something for everyone, whether it’s the perfect place for a Stag or Hen party or a quiet, romantic meal. Catering for everyone’s tastes, Newcastle has every type of restaurant from Indian to Moroccan and even has its own Chinese Village, providing a selection of Chinese delights.

Whilst visiting Newcastle, it’s often recommended that if possible, you should attend a football match for the local team, Newcastle United at their stadium St James’ Park. Newcastle’s population has a famous sport following, with a local, friendly derby with Sunderland. If football is not a priority on your sporting calendar, Newcastle also has popular ice hockey, basketball and rugby union teams.

There is so much to do in Newcastle, the only way to see it all is to visit and take in everything for yourself. Stay in fantastic hotel, shop ‘till you drop and have a fantastic night out.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307811&ca=Travel

Why You Should Look Into a Travel Program By Tom Tessin

Traveling became a very high demand issue nowadays for more and more people want to go see the other side of the world. It almost becomes a need for each and everyone of us to travel. Weather you work for a company or doing your own business, you will need to travel. Even kids needs to travel for their holiday! Traveling had been some sort of recreational activity as well. Unfortunately, it is not as affordable as going to the movies or a picnic in the park. Some people need to save for quite a long time before they can afford to have a holiday trip.

These situations have made the travel reward program sounds more and more appealing. It is definitely not a scam. There was no money down. No membership is charged to be able to participate and start earning your point. You simply do what you need to do. All you need to do is pick the right credit card with the best travel reward program. To avoid a disappointment, it is always best to do your homework. It might sound silly, but in return you will thanked yourself.

Some important fact that you have to check is the range of merchant one program has. The more places you can spend money on and get the point, the better. See if they have a big retail stores participating in the rewards program. Most big retail stores are very competitive in pricing. In this way you can get two benefits by using the card. Get a better price and bonus reward point. That means you save on money as well as collecting the travel point faster. A big retail store also offers wider range of product under one roof. So most likely you can find whatever you need in one stop shopping. This is also a saving in time and gas!

The more money you spend on your credit card travel reward program, the more points you will get, the faster you can fly for free. Logically it made sense. But beware of your spending habit and never make it a goal to achieve. This reward is a bonus not a target. Over spending syndrome happens to some people with 'reaching higher points faster' in their mind. It is no longer a bonus, it became an obsessions. And that is when some people become quite skeptical about the bonus travel points program.

Like everything else in life, most of the time we learn by doing. Information and offers comes to us everyday. There is new stuff each time we check our email or mailbox at home. The 'Free' word is the most intriguing word that will catch our attention in a second. Be wise and reasonable when reading any offers. Nothing is actually come totally free. There will always be something you give before you get something back. With this in mind, you may make a better decision and have more reasonable assumption.

Knowing what you really need is the best start when making decision on what type of credit card you need. There are many offerings different options. Some with no interest, some even offer you no annual fee for a lifetime! Whatever these cards offers should not affect you're spending budget or habit. The traveling reward points must be seen as a bonus. On each dollar you need to spend, you will get more than just what you buy. The points will accumulate and in return it will have a cash value when you redeem it as a free ticket.

Some people tend to ignore flyers or newsletters that came with their credit card's monthly statement. Next time try to read it; it may be beneficial for you. Some rewards program has a promotional event. This means, with the same amount of money you spend you will get double or even triple reward point. Check on the merchants participating in these special events. If you can, switch your shopping plan for that time period to the merchants or stores that will give you more points. Remember, be wise in spending. The travel reward point is not a goal to achieve as fast as possible. It is a bonus that make every dollar you spent worth more.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=309039&ca=Travel

Why You Should Look Into a Travel Program By Tom Tessin

Traveling became a very high demand issue nowadays for more and more people want to go see the other side of the world.

Sardinia: Play Golf in Paradise By Althea Marie Tan

Thanks to the Mediterranean’s picturesque coastlines and lush green terrains, Sardinia has become a paradise for golfers around the world. The bright blue skies and the stunning backdrop sceneries are sure to spoil tourist veteran and amateur golfers.

Il Golf Pevero is located in the posh Costa Esmeralda in the north of Sardinia, 32 kilometers north of Olbia. When Aga Khan first saw the space of the bay of Cala di Volpe, he said it would be a perfect spot for a great golf course. It was an understatement: today Il Golf Pevero is considered to be one of the world’s most magnificent golf courses.

This 18-hole, par 72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1972. Lying on the hilly peninsula, it boasts of its dense vegetation, bizarre rock formations, natural pools, and breathtaking sea views. There are shops, restaurants, electric carts, swimming pool, bar, clubhouse and upscale hotels built around the golf course for every discerning taste of tourist.

You are required to wear Bermuda shorts or golf trousers to access the practice range and the course of Pevero. Guys are asked to wear a polo shirt and girls are also encouraged to do so. Denims are prohibited.

Other developing golf courses in the island include the 18-hole club at Is Arenas in Oristano and the 9-hole course at Puntaldia in San Teodoro.

If you are a golf student, schools and driving ranges make North Sardinia a great place to pick up a club and swing it for the first time.

In Sardinia, golfing has grown tremendously over the last five years. One of the reasons is the need to extend the tourism season in Italy. Sardinia’s long summers and relatively short winters made it possible for the tourists to stay longer and explore new golf courses even in months of November through February.

Although golf originated in Scotland, where it rains more than it shines, and even if golfers are used to playing in any climate, Sardinia’s mild climate is too hard to resist.

Statistics on world tourism show that there is a constant increase of golf enthusiasts who travel from Northern Europe, Japan, and United States. For example, along the Mediterranean coastlines of Spain and Balearic Islands, their golfing facilities are not enough to satisfy the thousands of players that come by every year.

Sardinia offers these tourists not just alternatives but, extraordinary options that can even surpass their high standards in golfing. Apart from that, they can also discover Sardinian archaeology, food and wine, culture, history and natural beauty.

For convenience, hotels in Sardinia can help you get a reservation on various golf courses in the island. There are also shuttle services that can drive you to the courses.
Ask your concierge about it.

—

For a relaxing treat after a day’s worth of activities, book your rooms at Petra Segreta Resort and Wellness Center in San Pantaleo. The environment of Petra Segreta Wellness Centre has been studied down to the last detail in order to offer guests ideal comfort and receive the greatest benefits from the treatments. What does a “souvenir” mean?

The word “souvenir” originates from the French meaning of the word (of the same spelling). It means memory, and they are often used as a keepsake or memento of a memorable event or holiday location.

2. What are the most common types of souvenirs?

Common souvenirs that are often bought by international tourists and travellers include clothing such as t-shirts, hats, and scarves, and also common household items such as mugs, tea towels, spoons and stationery.

3. Why do we usually buy souvenirs anyway?

Travellers often buy souvenirs as giftware for friends, family and co-workers who could not attend the trip. This is especially so in Japan, where traditional “meibutsu” or “omiyage” are items of food or handicrafts, and are big business in Japan, to the point where is is deemed shameful if you do not return from your trip without gifts for those left behind!

4. What souvenirs can’t we bring back from our holidays?

Bringing back souvenirs to the UK from overseas could land you in a lot of trouble with HM Revenue and Customs if the souvenirs are certain types of animal skins, shells and ivory, due to international trade restrictions.

You could land your self in even more serious trouble if the item were “prohibited goods” such as unlicensed drugs (heroin, morphine, cocaine etc), offensive weapons, indecent or pornographic material banned in the UK, material depicting extreme violence or counterfeited or pirated goods such as watches, CDs and DVDs etc.

Without a license (which most if not all travellers will not have) if will also be illegal to import firearms, live animals (without a British import license), endangered species (whether alive or dead) and also certain radio transmitters that are not allowed in the UK.

5. What do souvenirs and Dan Fogelberg have in common?

“Souvenirs” is the title of Dan Fogelberg’s second album released in 1974. It includes such tracks as “Song From Half Mountain”, “Changing Horses” and the title track of the album “Souvenirs”.

6. What are the most popular souvenirs for tourists in China?

The most popular souvenirs for those coming back from China are Chinese Tea, arts and crafts, and clothing. This all comes from a survey from the 2008 Beijing Games and travel to China by VISA international.

7. What is the most expensive souvenir?

Well in 2008, a bank note with a face value of £1 million (which was not legal tender I might add) was sold at auction in London for £78,300. It and one other known surviving note was kept as a souvenir of the eight Marshall Plan £1 million bank notes in World War 2 by British and American secretaries.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308983&ca=Travel

Beaches Off the Western Cape of South Africa By James Camstock

The Western Cape of South Africa Cape Town Beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are beaches that are great for couples, individuals, and some that are best for families. The Western Cape of South Africa beaches are popular destinations for residents and tourists alike. The False Bay beaches along the coast of the Western Cape of South Africa are family friendly and warmer than the beaches along the Atlantic Coast. The Atlantic Coast beaches have a multitude of shops and restaurants while the False Bay beaches are more sparsely populated.

Atlantic Ocean Beaches on the Western Cape of South Africa

Along the Western Cape of South Africa are the beaches that have made the area known as the Cape Town Riviera. Te area is positioned along the Atlantic Cost on the western side of the Cape Peninsula. The beaches are more protected from the strong winds and have more time in the summer sun. However, the water does tend to be cooler on these beaches than on the beaches of False Bay.

North of the Atlantic Seaboard are the Table Bay Beaches of the Western Cape of South Africa. These beaches are near Robbin Island and Table Mountain and are perfect for surfing, paddle skiing, wind surfing, and swimming. Some of these breath taking beaches are Milnerton, Big and Little Bay, Blouberg’s, Table View, and Dolphin.

The Western Cape of South Africa beaches people visit if they want to be seen and to people watch are located on the Atlantic Seaboard. While people watching is one of the main activities you can also enjoy a game of volleyball, swim, and bathe in the sun. Some of the favorites in this area are the beaches of Sandy Bay, Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Three Anchor Bay, Seapoint, and Clifton.

False Bay Beaches on the Western Cape of South Africa

The beaches of False Bay are located off the coast of the Indian Ocean on the Western Cape of South Africa. Visitors are drawn to these beaches every year in because of the low key and relaxed atmosphere. These beaches are more family friendly than those on the Atlantic side, yet they can get almost as busy.

The beaches of False Bay on the Western Cape of South Africa are found between Cape Point on the western end of the bay and the Helderberg beaches along the eastern end of the bay. A few of the Helderberg Beaches are Kogel Bay, Strand, Gordon’s Bay, and Bikini Beach. All of these beaches are only about a forty-five minute drive from the city of Cape Town. These beaches are perfect for families who want to enjoy fishing, sun bathing, walks along the beach, surfing, and swimming.

The Western Cape of South Africa Cape Point Beaches are made up of Smitswinkelbaai, Boulders, Diaz Beach, St. James, Glencairn, Muizenberg, and Fish Hoek. These beaches are great for families to swim, surf, body board, and play in the sun.

All of the beaches along the coastline of the Western Cape of South Africa have something unique to offer visitors. The variety of activities ensures that all beach goers will have a fantastic time. If the beach you visit doesn’t have exactly what you are looking for or is too crowded for you, dozens of other beaches are only minutes away. The beaches along the coast of the Western Cape of South Africa are great for all ages.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307947&ca=Travel

How To Choose The Quintessential Holiday Cottage For Large Groups By

However, holidaying with a large group of people can provide some problems, although these can be overcome with a little forward planning.

Most of the considerations revolve around practicality; you want everyone in the group to have a good time, so you’ll need to do a little research to make sure that all eventualities are covered.

The reason for your break may have some bearing on how you decide which location is best for you. A group of friends looking to catch up might want to be away from the crowds and just enjoy each other’s company, so a rural retreat might be the answer - great company with great scenery and little else to worry about.

Families might prefer to be closer to amenities like shops and within easy reach of family attractions or beaches, so a coastal cottage near to a town might be better. For Stag or Hen groups nightlife may be important, so being near or in a town could have its advantages.

Many of these breaks revolve around activities, such as golf or surfing, as well as celebration, so see if there are facilities for your chosen pursuits close to your accommodation. Stag and Hen weekends often include a great deal of revelry, so it might be worth trying to find a property that offers privacy as well as accessibility –you don’t want disgruntled neighbours asking you to ‘turn it down’ in the middle of your celebrations!

You will need to consider how many bedrooms you will need so that everyone is comfortable. Many properties advertise the ‘ideal’ number of people that they can accommodate, such as 4 people. However, if the description states ‘4 – 6 people’, you will need to find out exactly what this means; it may mean that 4 people can be comfortably housed, but the extra 2 might be on sofa beds. You may also wish to research the beds that are available; are they twins, doubles or bunks? If extra guests are a possibility, it may be worth booking a place that can take more people than you initially require.

It could also be prudent to think along the same lines where bathrooms and toilets are concerned – nobody wants to queue outside the only toilet in the house on their holiday!

Places to relax are an important part of any holiday, so it might be worth checking out the sizes of any communal areas such as lounges and kitchens; you want everyone to feel included and enjoy themselves.

For Hen and Stag groups, you’ll need to look at the details quite carefully; some properties don’t allow single-sex groups, so check in advance whether this is the case.

A holiday cottage for large groups can be great fun; planning and booking yours as early as possible can reduce any problems you might encounter and make the trip a holiday to remember for everyone.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307818&ca=Travel

How to Find Jamaica Travel Deals By Dominiq Gallagher

Do you want to travel to Jamaica? If so, you may be looking for easy ways to save money. Even travelers not vacationing on a budget want to limit their expenses. After all, why pay more for something when you do not need to? If you want to save money on your next trip to Jamaica, you need to look for Jamaica travel deals and discounts. So, how can you do so?

1 – The Internet

The internet is one of the best ways to find Jamaica vacation deals. Why? Because it is easy to use. The internet allows you to quickly examine a number of online travel websites. These websites are ideal for finding affordable airline reservations, cheap hotel or resort accommodations, and so much more.

The internet can also be used to research Jamaica activities. If you want to save money, it is important to familiarize yourself with your available activities and attractions ahead of time. This gives you the opportunity to find affordable activities or attractions with low or no admission fees.

An easy way to get started is to perform a standard internet search.

2 – Jamaica Resorts

If you want to save money on your overnight accommodations, the best option is to go directly to the source. This would be Jamaica resorts or hotels. You can find their online websites with a standard internet search. Examine those websites for moneysaving deals. If none are listed online, consider placing a call to the customer service department. Discounts are often available, but sometimes you have to inquire about them.

When choosing a Jamaica resort or hotel, it is important to examine more than costs. Cheap hotels are nice, but not if you are provided with poor accommodations. For that reason, examine quality and costs. Get the best value for your money.

3 – Jamaica All-Inclusive Resorts

Speaking of getting a good value for your money, examine Jamaica all-inclusive resorts. These resorts are typically considered luxury or upscale resorts, but you wouldn’t know from the cost. Why? Because many offer moneysaving travel packages.

When examining Jamaica all-inclusive resorts, their cost will seem high at first. This may be a turn off, but it is important to remember quality and value. When vacationing at an all-inclusive or super-inclusive resort, the cost of your room, food, drinks, tips, and some entertainment should be included in the cost of your stay. You will pay more, but you will get more.

You will usually find moneysaving deals with all-inclusive travel packages and resorts, but it is easy to check. Determine the average rental costs for your room and estimate the cost of food, drinks, tips, and entertainment. When you compare the two, you should find yourself saving money.

4 – Travel Agent

One of the easiest ways to find Jamaica travel deals and discounts is to use the services of a professional travel agent. A professional travel agent does all of the work and research for you. You simply tell them your needs and they will find the best Jamaica travel package for you.

Using the services of a professional travel agent is recommended for those limited on time. However, if you have the time and the know-how to book your own Jamaica vacation, you are encouraged to do so.

5 – Compare Prices

As previously stated, you want to examine and compare the prices of Jamaica resorts and hotels. This is not the only aspect of your trip that you can compare. You should also compare airlines, restaurants, attractions, and so forth. You should be able to do so online.

Jamaica travel deals and discounts are common, but you may not find the deal perfect for your needs. If and when that happens, price comparison can help you save money. Remember, do not pay more money than you need. So, if you want to visit an attraction with a Bob Marley theme, compare. Many attractions fit the bill on the island of Jamaica. They all, however, charge different admission fees. In fact, some are free to gain admittance into.

As previously stated, the internet is a great way to find and compare Jamaica travel discounts. To get started, visit SuperClubs.com. They are your premier source for Jamaica all-inclusive and super-inclusive resorts.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308269&ca=Travel

Top 4 Dives In The Caribbean By Dianne Rein

There are lots of great dive sites in the Caribbean, but which ones make it to the top of the list? We'll give you our opinion. We've done lots of diving all over the Caribbean, but these sites are the ones we still remember and compare all other dives to.

Our list:

* Wreck of the Chikuzen, Tortola, British Virgin Islands

I loved this site. It was (and still is) the best wreck dive we have done.

The wreck of the Chikuzen is located off of Tortola's east end and 12 miles NW of virgin Gorda. This site is weather dependent so you may or may not be able to get out there. Luckily, the weather cooperated and we were able to dive the wreck (we were staying on Virgin Gorda).

When we descended the mooring line to wait for the other divers, we went straight into a huge school of barracuda. Now I'm used to seeing a lone barracuda, or a few together, but there had to be at least a hundred of them. And this was just at the bottom of the mooring line. It got better from there. Definitely one of our all time top dives in the Caribbean.

We saw black tip sharks, lots of stingrays, horse-eye jacks, pompano, spadefish and lots more. This is the place to come if you like big fish and lots of fish. And to top it all off, we heard whales singing at the end of the dive. And we haven't even mentioned the wreck. How could it not be one of our top dives?

* Pidgeon, Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

This one is usually a surprise (and to us too because the rest of the diving we did in Bequia was good but not spectacular). However, this dive was wonderful. It was just my husband, myself and the divemaster (right there it is better than a lot of dives).

The water was crystal clear and the sun was shining on the coral, making the colors brilliant. There was a slight current so we could just drift along the reef with barely a kick. Lots of marine life to observe.

I remember thinking, 'This is why I dive.' It was just a fantastic, easy underwater sightseeing trip. Definitely one of the top dives we have done.

* Name Unknown, Bimini, Bahamas

I know, I'm sorry - but you'll be able to find it. We went over to Bimini from Florida in a boat and dove off our boat rather than with a dive shop. We tied up at a mooring buoy while we got ready. Then we jumped in. And that was the start of one great, fun drift dive.

We were flying! The formations and coral were beautiful and since it was a nice, sunny day, the colors were brilliant. Since the current was strong we couldn't stop and examine many things, but that was fine. It was one heck of a fun dive.

Along the way, we saw an underwater plaque dedicated to someone that had died. So between the mooring buoy and the plaque, one of the dive shops or a local will be able to tell you where we were (my brother-in-laws's GPS broke so we lost the coordinates). Next time we go to Bimini, we will find it again and I will post the update.

* Horseshoe, Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel is pretty much a divers mecca and we've been there several times. You will find alot of great dive sites off of Cozumel but this one stands out and is one of my favorites.

This site has incredible formations with tunnels in and around the formations. We saw alot of marine life including eels, sharks, barracudas to name just a few. A cool dive and definitely on of the top dives in Cozumel.

So there you have it. Our list of 4 of the top dives we have done. If you dive these sites, we hope you enjoy them as much as we did. It’s quaint when it needs to be yet flamboyant on occasion. There are beautiful, lush gardens and long sandy beaches. Bustling shopping areas and tranquil café’s. These all make for the wonderful town of Bournemouth.
Split into five main suburbs, each presents its visitor with something entirely different, but with that certain Bournemouth charm.

• Southbourne – Home to one of Bournemouth’s three Blue Flag beaches, Southbourne is the perfect place for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the relaxed attitude that this suburb exudes. The award winning beach provides for the perfect place to relax throughout the day, whilst the landscapes are fantastically lit, offering the perfect backdrop to a romantic evening meal.

• Boscombe – Renowned for its Boscombe Pier, the surrounding beach is a sanctuary for British surfers. There are a multitude of quirky outlets in Boscombe, allowing for some extremely unusual gifts to be purchased. Like Southbourne, Boscombe has some fantastic gardens that are worth a stroll through, whilst not forgetting its centre, which boasts a variety of high street shopping names which will fulfil even the most exuberant shopper.

• East Cliff and Central East – The ideal place to stay if wishing to sample all the delights of Bournemouth, Central East is home to the Travel Interchange, allowing for easy access to all parts of Bournemouth and Dorset. With a fantastic museum to Merton and Annie Russel Cotes, the pair who started the development of Bournemouth, it plays host to a large selection of their memorabilia taken from all over the world.
Not only a great place to rest your head at night in one of the many Bournemouth hotels, East Cliff and Central East provide celebrity shows at the famous Pavilion – the perfect way to end an evening after a memorable meal in one of Bournemouth’s many gastronomic delights.

• West Cliff and Central West – Playing host to a second Blue Flag beach, West Cliff and Central West are the ideal areas for families. The sun kissed beaches and sparkling blue seas are ideal for spending the long, hot summer days at whilst the many shops offer something for everyone, regardless of how much of a shopping fanatic you may be. Taking in one of the many famous restaurants in this popular suburb, a relaxing stroll through one of the three gardens can be finished with a round of golf or a game of tennis.

• Alum Chine and Westbourne – The fifth Bournemouth suburb houses the famous tropical gardens. Walking through palm trees and jungle foliage, the sometimes-dreary British weather is taken away and you’re whisked away to an exotic island far away. That is, until you find the shoppers haven that’s housed here and the fantastic range of restaurants on offer.

There is so much to see and do in Bournemouth; one visit will never be enough. Pack your bags, book into a hotel and just see for yourself the delights of this wonderful town.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307809&ca=Travel

How to Choose the Quintessential Devon Holiday Cottage By Sandy Lee

Over the last few years it has become increasingly popular to choose to holiday in the UK. This has come about as a result of a number of changes in people's attitudes toward long haul flights and paying for package holidays that don't meet all of the customer's expectations. The UK has many exciting places to visit and one of the most picturesque landscapes in the UK is in Devon. With many different natural features to boast of within the county there's something to please everyone while you're away and even more to discover.

There are many regions within Devon, each of which can offer different things to different visitors. Dartmoor is, for example, one of the most stunning places to visit in the whole of the UK and as a National Park is a perfect location for nature lovers. Of course, this varied and bustling county is also lucky enough to be surrounded on both sides (to the south and the north) by the sea and miles of spectacular coastline. So, if getting soft sand between your toes is the thing that you look forward to most when on holiday, choosing a holiday cottage in Devon that's next to the incomparable Devon shoreline is a fantastic boon to any type of holiday whether you're looking for an action packed break or some quality time with those who mean the most to you.

No matter what you want from your holiday in this fantastic county - or how many there are in your party - taking a holiday cottage in Devon allows everyone to settle in and feel at home before the adventures really begin. Staying at a holiday cottage in Devon rather than at a hotel gives you the freedom to explore this rich and welcoming county, and means you are not committed to any one else's schedule. You and your party (even if it's a party of two) can make your own agenda and truly experience the things you would like to explore without having to cut your day short in order to get back for dinner (and without having to cut your lazy morning short in order to get down for breakfast!)

Using a professional holiday cottage company is the best way to ensure your holiday cottage in Devon has all the features you and your party require and that it is a quality let. With most of the professional holiday cottage in Devon letting agents you can draw up a list of requirements that you and your party have so that you get the property you want, not just the property that's available. Devon is a proud rural county after all but you don’t want to find your holiday cottage in Devon is actually more of a barn than a cottage with rustic charm or that the pool you wanted hasn't been cleaned since last year!

Choosing a holiday cottage in Devon through a professional company means you can expect good quality and well-maintained facilities such as private grounds, tennis courts and - with holiday cottages in Devon that cater for larger parties - even a croquet lawn. You can also request romantic and serene settings for couples that range from gardens with fountains to locations only minutes away from the beach.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307810&ca=Travel

Trekking to Everest Base Camp By Jude Limburn Turner

A trek to Everest remains a dream for many, and achieving the summit of the highest mountain in the world will always be the ultimate prize for experienced mountaineers. Standing at 8,848 metres above sea level, Everest defeated attempts from climbers for over thirty years until Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay made it to the top in 1953. Since then, several thousand people have made it to the summit; but the skills required, the danger of the climb and the considerable expense of an Everest expedition put a trip to the top of the mountain out of the reach of most people. Treks to Everest Base Camp, however, continue to grow in popularity, giving travellers to this region an unforgettable glimpse of the world’s highest mountain.

Everest Base Camp

Contrary to popular perception, there are in fact two Everest Base Camps that Everest expeditions can set off from: the South camp in Nepal (5,360 metres) and the North camp in Tibet (5,208 metres). At both of them, mountaineers preparing to attempt the summit stay to acclimatise to the altitude and wait for favourable weather conditions before leaving to make an attempt on the summit. The South camp tends to be the more commonly used by Everest expeditions for practical reasons – the southern ridge is the easier and safer route to the summit, and climbing from the Tibetan side requires a special visa from China.

To see and visit one of these Everest Base Camps is to step onto the stage of mountaineering history – the world’s greatest climbers have passed through the camps at one point or another in search of their moment of glory.

Regional Highlights

As well as the awe inspiring views of Everest itself and the historical significance of seeing Everest Base Camp, treks to this region typically take in several other summits and sights. Most treks to Everest Base Camp will follow the classic route from Lukla, through pretty Sherpa villages and dramatic high mountain scenery, whilst other Everest Base Camp treks will follow a longer route to Everest, giving the opportunity to retrace the steps of the great explorers all the way from Jiri to the Base Camp itself. Other trekking routes in this region can also include a visit to the spectacular Gokyo Lakes, a series of high altitude lakes that offer breathtaking views out over the region.

Almost all Everest Base Camp treks in Nepal will include an ascent of nearby Kala Pattar (5,545 metres), which offers great views down over the base camp and up to Everest itself.

Experience and Equipment Required

Trekking to Everest Base Camp does not require mountaineering experience. The walking though is challenging due to the terrain and the altitude. Organised trips should give visitors time to acclimatise to the altitude. Although altitude sickness is unpredictable and affects different people in different ways, simple precautions can minimise the chance of experiencing this. Previous experience of high level trekking is not a requirement for an Everest Base Camp trek, just a good general level of fitness and a spirit of adventure.

Tour operators will be able to provide a more complete list of the equipment required for individual treks, but a good waterproof jacket, clothes that will provide sufficient warmth at high altitudes, sunglasses and good quality walking boots will be a bare minimum. The cost of a trek varies from company to company but, due to the distances covered in a typical trek, and the need to gradually acclimatise to the altitude, a complete trip will take around three weeks and usually costs between £1,900 and £2,500, including flights.

Everest Base Camp has been drawing in walkers and climbers for years, and it remains an essential destination for the trekking enthusiast – spectacular scenery, challenging walking and a once in a lifetime chance to stand beside the highest mountain in the world.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308947&ca=Travel

Vacation Package to Costa Rica By Lisa Khajavi

What is the ideal Vacation Package to Costa Rica? Pretty much whatever you can dream up is available in Costa Rica. For a country roughly the size of Vermont and New Hampshire combined, there is an incredible amount of diversity available for any kind of traveler. The geography and the resultant micro climates alone are amazing. From rain forests to cloud forests, Pacific and Caribbean beaches, volcanoes, islands, abundant national parks, and the bustling Central Valley, there is literally something for everyone. What is the vacation you have been dreaming of?

Adrenaline on Demand: The All Out Costa Rica Adventure Vacation

Are you happy when upside down or in constant motion? There are many ways to satisfy this craving in Costa Rica including: class 4 white water rafting on the Reventazon, bungee jumping over the Colorado River Gorge, dramatic waterfall rappelling in Arenal, exhilarating zip line canopy tour in lush Monteverde, hiking into the depths of the amazing Corcovado Park, sea kayaking in the Caribbean, action-packed guided mountain bike tours, camping and climbing to Costa Rica’s highest peak Chirripo, hard-core custom surfing trip to Witch’s Rock and beyond, diving with the dolphins off of the Osa and Canos Island. The list goes on…

Beach Bum: Sun and Sand

Looking for the endless summer? Nearly two-thirds of Costa Rica’s borders are beaches. Combine this with year-round summer temperatures averaging in the 80’s and you don’t have to look hard at all. Whether you seek night life or seclusion, local culture or surf culture Costa Rica has it all, and with accommodations to fit every budget/lifestyle. Some key beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula include the lively Tamarindo, Malpais, and Montezuma as well as the more secluded Samara, Nosara, Hermosa and Playa Grande. One of the most visited parks and beaches is Manuel Antonio just outside of Quepos. Farther South you have the raw and seemingly untouched Drake Bay in the Osa Peninsula, and on the other side near Golfo Dulce you have the Pan Dulce, and farther up over on the Caribbeaan Coast the beautiful Manzanillo and Cahuita. All the beaches have easy access to many activities and National Parks as well.

Hooked on Ease: The All Inclusive Vacation

We have heard from many people from various professions, married or single, with or without children that they love all-inclusive. The highlight is definitely on convenience; everything is taken care of from transportation to lodging, food and drinks, and in many cases the activities and tours as well. The time to unwind and feel like you are really on vacation is minimal, you sink right into ultra-relaxation mode. If you have teenagers with constant appetites, no problem, with all meals and non-alcoholic drinks included. Many places have special kid’s activities and shows with child care centers for the smaller ones. The resorts are safe, contained communities, where you don’t have to worry about your teenager wandering too far in uncharted territory. If you want to have a bit more flexibility and see some of the surrounding areas, you can arrange during your visit many different day and half-day tours. Canopy zip-line adventures, national park tours, hiking, rappelling, white water rafting to name just a few. You can do as little or as much as you like with all the basics covered.

I could go on an on with all of the options: spa and hot springs packages, luxury resort packages, casino resort experiences, cultural tours, indigenous focus vacations, eco-naturalist vacations, agro-packages including an organic chocolate plantation in Talamanca, the best custom surf camp packages from beginner to advanced, volcano/mountain/beach combo packages….. The list is endless, and the best way to come up with your ideal trip is to talk to one of our travel designers that lives, works and plays in Costa Rica. Our travel designers will listen to your expectations and wishes and custom design the Vacation Package to Costa Rica of your dreams!

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308280&ca=Travel

Tips For Planning a Jamaica Golf Vacation With Friends By Boris Ralston

Do you want to plan a Jamaica golf vacation with a small group of friends? If so, the experience will be one you will never forget, but the planning stages may be something you wish you could skip. For tips on how to plan a Jamaica golf vacation with friends with ease, please continue reading on.

1 – Get a Headcount

Before you start making your Jamaica travel plans, it is important to know who is attending. If you are in charge of making arrangements never accept an “I do not know.” If you are sharing the cost of a hotel or resort room, this could seriously impact everyone’s ability to pay their share.

Instead, create a specific deadline. For example, give everyone two weeks to decide whether or not they will attend your group Jamaica golf vacation. The earlier you plan your trip, the more notice and time to think participants will have.

2 – Request Passports

Every member of your traveling party needs to have a valid passport. This is important, as it is required. If you are in charge of planning your Jamaica golf vacation with friends, simply ask once and then offer a few polite reminders. Since a passport can take one to two months to arrive, it is important to start planning your Jamaica travels early and in advance.

3 – Create a Budget

The ideal way to plan a golf vacation with friends is to spilt the cost down the middle. For example, will two people stay in one hotel room? If so, those two individuals can spilt the cost of the room and so forth. Other aspects of the trip, such as airline reservations, food, and drinks, should be paid for separately.

Since your overnight accommodation costs may be shared, it is important to create a budget. How much can each member of your traveling party afford? If traveling on a budget, remember that luxury is nice, but it isn’t a requirement.

4 – Examine Jamaica Hotels and Resorts

Once you have an idea of how much your traveling party can afford to spend on overnight accommodations, start examining your options. If possible, do not go over your budget. Search for hotels and resorts based on location and then price. Choose the most affordable option. If not traveling on a budget, opt for quality over costs.

In keeping with Jamaica hotels and resorts, those on Jamaica golf vacations are encouraged to examine super or all-inclusive resorts. These resorts are different than traditional hotels and resorts where you only pay for your room. Instead, your cost includes room, food, drinks, tips, and some forms of entertainment. If you opt for this approach, individual packages will need to be purchased, as opposed to sharing the costs.

As for why you should examine super or all-inclusive Jamaica resorts, some have onsite golf courses. In fact, green fees may already be included in the cost of your stay. Not only is this an affordable option, but it is convenient, as you do not have to leave the property to enjoy a round of golf.

5 – Examine Jamaica Golf Courses

Even if you opt to stay at a Jamaica all-inclusive resort with an onsite golf course, you may wish to spice up your trip. This means visiting other area courses. You will want to research these courses ahead of time online. First, examine the costs. Next, examine the quality of the golf course by viewing pictures or reading reviews online. Finally, decide if the Jamaica golf course in question is one you want to visit. If so, see if reservations are required.

6 – Remember the Quicker You Plan, the Better

As previously stated, a Jamaica golf vacation with friends will be fun, but the planning stages may be a nightmare. Even close friends and family members have different wants, needs, and requirements. When traveling with a group, it is important to compromise. If one member of your party is traveling on a budget, compromise and opt for an affordable hotel.

As a recap, it is important to get a headcount, request passports, review Jamaica hotels and resorts, examine Jamaica golf courses, and make your travel arrangements. After doing so, you can sit back and relax and wait for your trip to arrive.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308270&ca=Travel

Highlights of an Algarve Golf Holiday By Morgan Clarke

Portugal is one of the most popular places for luxury golf holidays, and the Algarve is the country’s star attraction. This region, located on Portugal’s sunny south coast, is a real golfer’s delight. There are plenty of highlights to be found on an Algarve golf holiday, and listed below are some of the best features that it has to offer…

Outstanding Courses

If you are interested in an Algarve golf holiday, the quality of the courses is what matters above all. You won’t be disappointed – the Algarve’s golf courses are among the prettiest in the world. There are plenty to choose from, and there are some real gems to be found all along the coast.

Monte Rei is often regarded as the best course in Portugal. It has only been open since 2007 but this Jack Nicklaus course is tough, intricate, and a real delight to play on. With slick service and great scenery, it’s a great day’s golf.

San Lorenzo Golf Club is another outstanding course. Perhaps the most beautiful golf course in the Algarve, San Lorenzo is positioned alongside the spectacular Ria Formosa nature reserve. It features numerous lakes and is encircled by a pine forest but the course offers more than just a beautiful landscape; it’s a fine mix of shortish holes, “thinking” holes and frightening ones! A perfect test for more experienced golfers.

Luxury Golf Hotels

Almost all of the best golf courses in the Algarve have their own dedicated golf hotels. These hotels are the perfect base from which to enjoy a relaxing golf break; offering outstanding facilities (typically including spas, swimming pools, restaurants and gyms) along with luxurious comfort and great service. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing your accommodation for an Algarve golf holiday, but two of the best golf hotels are Le Meridien Penina (one of the oldest golf hotels but kept in pristine condition amid 300 acres of parkland) and Vila Sol, with two excellent restaurants and a superb luxury spa. Henry Cotton designed the course and retired here – arguably Great Britain’s best ever golfer – assurance enough that this has always been a classy affair.

Amazing Scenery

As any keen golfer will tell you, enjoying the scenery is an essential part of a truly great round of golf, and the Algarve doesn’t disappoint. From lush forests and verdant greens to dramatic coastal landscapes, a golf break in the Algarve will give you plenty of spectacular scenery to admire as you play. The landscape around Tavira is especially beautiful as the town is a part of one of the biggest nature reserves in Portugal, and nature-loving golfers should head to this part of the Algarve for their golf holidays.

Great Weather

Plenty of golfers take their golf holidays in the Algarve because of the quality of the courses but the gorgeous weather is another big draw for the region. The combination of sunshine and soothing coastal breezes make for perfect golfing weather and some of the best beaches in Europe provide an opportunity to correct the “golfer’s tan”.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=309044&ca=Travel

Future Developments of Engedras Tour Operator By Paolo Pilia

Engedras Tour Operator, owner of web and tourist portals www.sardegne.com and www.siciliae.com, was born in 2005. It's based on the idea that the best way to plan an holiday is not to book our holiday in a wide portal like Expedia but in an more specilized web site. A destination portal where you can find all offer about a place together with the touristic information to know the beauties of the area. This fact together with the possibility to call for advice is the plus of our offers compared with the more general travel portal.

Engedras has just finished the third full tourist season and has become an important reality in the tourist panorama of Sardinia.

The Sardegne.com group, which at the beginning had 3 employees, employs at present 18 people between employees (14, including 11 women) and colleagues (4), with a firm preponderance of women (75%).

The multiligual booking and the technical and marketing areas are the most populated with an average age of 30 years and only one person with no Sardinian origin.

The 2008 figures are quite interesting: 1,000,000 visitors expected in the portal www.sardegne.com in the year 2008, and 200,000 visitors expected in the portal www.siciliae.com in the year 2008, and a decuplicated turnover in three years.

The Engedras proposal covers all types of facilities throughout Sardinia and Sicily in addition to additional tourist services (ferries, airplanes, transfers, excursions by sea, land etc). Holiday villages, hotels, popular hotels, residences, farm houses, bed and breakfast and a wide range of holiday homes in Sardinia, luxury, with pool, by the sea or hinterland, to satisfy any possible idea of vacation and plan it in a better way.

The Sardinia portal (www.sardegne.com) offers the possibility of finding interesting insights on everything that concerns the sardinian island itself: environment, archeology and history, architecture and museums, crafts, towns and villages, food and wine, sea, rivers and lakes, sports, traditions. A wide section, constantly updated, is dedicated to events such as folk festivals, sacred festivals and many other events. There are also useful information such as weather, transport, FAQ among other interesting things.

The Sicilian (www.siciliae.com) portal will soon be enriched with new useful information to design the holidays in sicily in the best way.

In Sardinia in 2008 the booking section has sold holidays in 470 different accommodation facilities involving 100 municipalities, coastal or in the hinterland.

More moderate data from Sicily, with 64 facilities in 32 Sicilian municipalities. In the present tourist season the business model successfully applied in Sardinia has been replicated for the holidays in Sicily with the portal www.siciliae.com.

In the tourist season 2009 it will also be replicated in Puglia (www.pugliae.com). The medium term objective of the Tour Operator is to become one of the specialized landmarks for different tourist destinations in Italy on the Internet.

These portals will have in the 2009 a specific associate portal with a luxury segment, only for Sardinia, in which to the traditional languages Italian, English, French and Spanish, will be added the Russian.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307813&ca=Travel

How To Choose The Quintessential Holiday Cottage For Couples By Sandy

A secluded holiday cottage can be just what is needed to bring a little romance into a holiday for two. Finding holiday cottages for couples needn’t be a problem either; many cottage providers have woken up to the fact that there is an increase in demand for small cottages for romantic breaks, especially across the South West and Cornwall.

Deciding on a holiday cottage for a romantic break will depend a lot on what you want from your holiday. The South West of England has everything you could want from a break, from surfing to scenery and from shopping to restaurants. The South West is an idyllic region and a little thought about what you want from your holiday can help you make an informed decision about where you’re going to go.

Many cottage providers offer holiday cottages specifically for couples. They tend to be picturesque and intimate; tucked away from the rest of the world. If you are intent on staying in and enjoying each other’s company, then the facilities of the accommodation might be very important to you. While it may not seem terribly romantic to check whether your destination has a washing-machine or microwave, neither is being stuck without a change of clothes or being able to rustle up a quick and convenient meal. Consider the home comforts that would make your stay an easy one and then check to see which places have them.

The location is obviously very important. Many couples just want to shut themselves away, but it is important to consider whether you will want to use local amenities, such as shops. It isn’t difficult to find cottages that offer privacy but that are also within easy reach of local facilities. The West Country also offers a great selection of restaurants and dining facilities, from rustic little restaurants to elegant fine dining. If treating yourselves to a meal out is on the agenda, then it is prudent to check out what pubs and restaurants are in the area and, if they are beyond walking distance, whether there are any local taxi firms in the vicinity.

Many couples enjoy walks or like to visit areas of interest and natural beauty. As well as researching what is local to the accommodation through the cottage provider, it can also be worth contacting or visiting the website of the area’s tourist information board. These sites can often uncover hidden gems that can help to make your break that little bit more special.

When you want to go is also an important factor. While for some of us, soaking up the sun with a loved one is all that is required, the idea of snuggling up in font of an open fire with a mug of hot chocolate after a pony trek may appeal to others. The time of year you choose to holiday can affect the cost of your accommodation, with ‘off-peak’ times being less expensive. Checking online to see if there are any local festivals or celebrations taking place at the time you wish to holiday can add another dimension to your time away.

Whatever your reason for taking a break for two, planning ahead will allow you to make the best of your time together and even rekindle the romance!

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307817&ca=Travel

How to Save Money on a Jamaica Vacation By Gina Ireland

Are you in the process of planning a trip to Jamaica? If you are traveling from Jamaica from the northern United States, you will find many connecting flights. This is your opportunity to save money. Look for the best deals. Determine what airlines can get you to Jamaica or at least to your final flight and compare rates.

When looking for the best air travel deals, remember it is more expensive to fly on the weekends and on holidays.

2 – Compare Hotels and Resorts

Aside from your airline reservations, the next best way to save money on a trip to Jamaica is with your overnight accommodations. Whether you opt to stay at a Jamaica hotel or resort, compare your options.

When comparing Jamaica resorts and hotels, do more than just compare prices. Your goal should not only be to save the most money, but to get the best value for your money. Look for hotels and resorts that are stocked full of great amenities, such as room service, an onsite fitness center, onsite swimming pool, and so forth.

3 – Choose Your Hotel or Resort Carefully

As previously stated, it is important to get the best value for your money when choosing a Jamaica hotel or resort. That is why you want to make your choice carefully. Look for onsite activities that are free or affordably priced, as this will save you money. When you are provided with low-cost activities onsite, you may not have to venture off the resort or hotel property. This, alone, can save you a considerable amount of money.

4 – Look for Jamaica Travel Packages

If you opt for a Jamaica hotel, you may be able to find moneysaving travel packages. These packages are available for sale on most online travel websites, which can be found with a standard internet search.

When buying travel packages from a third-party website, it is important to verify that you are getting a good deal. Luckily, doing so will only take a few minutes of your time. When buying a travel package, you should be provided with the name of the hotel and airline. Visit those websites independently and check rates for the date and time of your travel. Total their cost and compare it to the price you were quoted for your Jamaica travel package. You should save money.

5 – Examine All-Inclusive Jamaica Resorts

As previously stated, you want to choose your hotel or resort wisely. Get the best value for your money. An easy way to do so and to save money is to examine all-inclusive Jamaica resorts. These are upscale resorts where the cost of your food, drinks, room, tip, and some forms of entertainment should be included.

When examining Jamaica all-inclusive resorts and travel packages, you may be surprised with their costs. At first, it will seem high. It is important to remember that most of your trip is included in the cost of your stay. In fact, if you were to compare each individual cost, such as room, food, drinks, and tips, you may find yourself saving money!

6 – Find Free Attractions

If you carefully choose your Jamaica all-inclusive resort or hotel, you may never have to leave the property. With that said, there is something about exploring the island of Jamaica. If you opt to do so, look for activities or attractions with low or no admission fees. This is an easy way to save money on your trip to Jamaica.

In short, there are many ways for you to save money on a Jamaica vacation. To get started, visit SuperClubs.com. One look at their affordable all-inclusive Jamaica resorts and you will see that saving money doesn’t mean you have to compromise quality.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308272&ca=Travel

High Level Survey of the Gorgeous Beaches Travel Resort in Jamaica By

Wondering if it's the right fit for you or your family? If so, keep reading for a review of some specifics about the property.

Very Kid-Friendly

This is not a resort for honeymooning couples or adults looking for some rest and relaxation. Beaches Jamaica is very much targeted toward children, and a large portion of the resort is dedicated to children's activities and distractions - making it perfect for family vacations.

For families with kids, the resort offers several daycare centers, numerous Sesame Street themed activities (characters walking around and live shows), water slides, day trips for teens, story time and even infant care. The major appeal is that they have a variety of activities targeted toward each age group - meaning your teen and toddler won't wind up at the same activity center.

For parents, though, the resort can seem a little too kid-focused. There are adults-only areas and pools that are either designated for just families or just adults, but parents won't have the run of this place. However, you can enjoy a little snooze at the beach knowing your children are well looked after and having a great time.

Great Fitness Center

Probably one of the best features for adults at this resort is the fitness center. It's stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and they run a number of fitness classes every day - ranging from low impact and introductory yoga to high-impact sessions like kickboxing.

Numerous A La Carte Restaurants

Anyone who has spent a week at an all-inclusive resort knows that the same buffet night after night can get tiring after a while. To avoid food boredom, locating a resort with numerous a la carte restaurants is key. Jamaica Negril offers 6 restaurants ranging from a beachside cafe to fine and elegant dining.

Harassment By Beach Vendors

The beach in Jamaica is public, meaning a trip down to the sand and beautiful waters also leads to dealing with a lot of harassment from local vendors selling their wares. If you don't want to put up with this, then you'll have to be content sunbathing by the pool instead.

Small, Closet-Sized Rooms

Unless you're opting for a deluxe suite or large room, you'll find the accommodations pretty small at Beaches Negril Jamaica. That said, if you're sharing one room among a family of four, you may want to consider upgrading to a larger room.

The Final Word

Beaches Jamaica is a fantastic vacation option for a family. There are tons of choices for the kids and a range of activities for a range of ages. The one major drawback? The room sizes don't comfortably accommodate a family.

So if you are either willing to squeeze into tight space (which may not be so bad when spending the bulk of your time outside) or can afford to spring for a separate room for your children, you will enjoy this location.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308975&ca=Travel

How to Choose the Quintessential Cornwall Holiday Cottage By Sandy Lee

Cornwall is the perfect holiday destination for those taking a break in the UK. It offers everything you could wish for; warm, dependable weather, beaches, temperate waters, beautiful scenery, historical interest, family entertainment, fine dining and much more. Holiday cottages in Cornwall are a great way to enjoy what this stunning part of the UK has to offer, allowing you the freedom to decide what you want to do and when you want to do it. You are not restricted by hotel meal times or being bothered by maid services – everyone can join in to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Finding the best holiday cottage for you means a little thought about what you and your friends or family want from your break.

Holiday cottages in Cornwall can be rented for a variety of reasons, such as family holidays, romantic getaways and even Stag or Hen celebrations. Your reasons for the trip can influence the type of accommodation you choose and even have a bearing on its location.

For family holidays, you will need to consider factors such as how many rooms you want. A holiday cottage can give you the privacy that hotel rooms do not, especially for parents with young children. If children are taking part in the trip, it is prudent to look for accommodation that is advertised as ‘child-friendly’; research things like whether staircases are unfenced, if any ponds in the grounds have safeguards and whether there are any child’s facilities for hire, such as highchairs and cots.

Having children present will mean that you might be wiser to select a cottage in or near a town, allowing you easy access to shops and other amenities. Some cottage providers offer groups of cottages which means that other families with children may be present and this can help to provide instant entertainment for the little ones; some of these even come with children’s play areas. If you have a pet, some cottages welcome animals, removing the costs of kennels from your budget.

Romantic breaks for two have different criteria; primarily, you are less restricted in your location. By stocking up on your treats for the week in advance, you can select accommodation on the strength of its character alone. There are many cottages tucked away in Cornwall’s beautiful countryside or by secluded beaches, offering tranquillity and complete privacy. You can find beautiful listed and farmhouse cottages that are designed for couples looking to enjoy each other’s company and forget the rest of the world for a time. If luxury is what you want, take the time to research the areas and types of building that would suit your requirements.

Stag or Hen holidays are increasingly common and many cottage-providers have a great selection of suitable accommodation. Depending on the plans for the celebration, you might want to choose accommodation close to a Cornish town, with easy access to bars and nightlife. Alternatively, you might want to look at places near the coast if surfing is on the agenda. Ensure that the building is large enough for your party. Seeking accommodation that is away from other buildings might be a good idea, as often the celebrations can go on into the early hours, which holidaying neighbours might not appreciate, especially if they have young children.

There are many types of accommodation on offer for practically all sorts of holiday. By doing a little homework first and thinking about what you want from your break, you can make it a holiday to remember.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=307812&ca=Travel

5-Star Around the World Cruise Travel Auctions By Sarah Martin

Are you looking for the most luxurious 5-star around the world cruise at the very lowest price? You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for that five star treatment. Instead you can go onto web sites that specialize in online travel auctions and get a real bargain. These web sites are ideal for finding the vacation of your dreams, because they all collaborate together in order to present the very best in vacation deals and rates for their clientele. Although they are in direct competition with each other, they also in a sense help each other out by comparing prices, causing each travel site to drop their prices in order to have the cheapest rates.

An online travel auction is basically just another type of market or bazaar. The only difference is that the product sold is a 5-star around the world cruise (http://www.amttravel.com/cruise-lines/world-cruises.html). As is true of any auction sellers, these 5-star around the world cruise packages will be sold just one offering at a time. If more than one 5-star around the cruise travel auction is sold at a time then the travel auction is called a Dutch or English auction.

On almost all travel auction sites the seller of the package can set a minimum bid. This is called the reserve price, which is the lowest price that the seller will accept for the deal. Some auction travel sites disclose the reserve-bidding price during the auction and others don’t. Lots of times you can get an incredible deal for a 5-star around the world cruise by just bidding the reserve price.

The bidding for each travel auction both opens closes at a scheduled time. You'll be alerted via e-mail if someone outbids you, and then its decision time.

The key is to not get too carried away. Decide in advance on the maximum amount you'll spend on your 5-star around the world cruise travel auctions, and stick to it. Getting swept away by the competitive spirit that is generated by online bidding has led many people to pay more than market value for what is supposed to be a discounted vacation cruise package!

After the bidding closes it is automatically disclosed who the highest bidder is. In the case of sales of multiple lots, the participants with the highest bids at the close of the auction are obligated to buy the cruise that was bid on .

At the close of a successful auction, the buyer and seller communicate, usually by e-mail, to arrange for payment and information about the 5-star world cruise you have won. It is usually at this point that it is revealed exactly where you are going along with any caveats such as blackout dates for travel, fees, taxes and site charges.

Most travel auction sites offer all types of different payment options including credit card, debit card, personal check, cashier's check, money order, cash on delivery and escrow services. Payment methods are usually thoroughly explained in the FAQ, help or fine print sections on the auction travel web site that is offering the 5-star around the world cruise.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308717&ca=Travel

Pula Sardinia By Carlo Gallino

Pula, a unique experience in the South Coast Pula is a populous town in southern west of Sardinia. It is located in an ideal location along the southwestern coast of the Golfo degli Angeli, in the area of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in the province of Cagliari.

It is an important agricultural center of sardinia and during the summer it doubles the number of its inhabitants thanks to the seaside tourism. It is at only 40 km from Cagliari-Elmas and 30 km from the port of the Sardinian capital.

Agricultural production of excellence such as tomatoes and figs share the area with the main economic activity, tourism.

The tourists season start from the month of April until late October, reaching peaks in late July and throughout the whole month of August. The south west coastal area is fabulous. There are kilometres of beautiful beaches with golden sand. From Pula to Teulada the coast is varied. There is almost a continous line of beaches from Pula to Chia.

Once the coast is broken by rocks (as Capo Spartivento and Capo Malfatano), it becomes more rocky and less populated. it is possible to see several small islands in front of the coast.

There are also numerous Saracen towers located in the most strategic points. The beaches in the area of Chia, famous for its sand dunes and the lagoon, are also ideal for practicing sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing. The frame of these beaches is a wild nature made up of mountains full of Mediterranean scrub and woodland.

'Pula dimensione estate' is the name that has been given for years to the calendar of events that give live to the summer nights from June to September. Services to citizens and tourists improve year after year, many accommodations, restaurants, attractions. Pula is really a dimension of summer, or better a dimension of vacation. An ideal place for a holiday in Sardinia.

Pula is also well known because its territory holds the ruins of the ancient city of Nora of Phoenician origin. Today there are still significant traces left by Phoenicians, Punic and Romans. Among the discoverings left we can mention the temple of Tanit from the Phoenician-Punic period and the Roman theater, the only known example in Sardinia, where it takes place every summer the event called 'Night of the poets'.

In the centre of the town the archaeological museum Giovanni Patroni that preserves recovered findings from the archaeological area of Nora. Of great interest it is also the Romanesque church of Sant'Efisio of end of the XI century. It is located on the beach of Nora, the closest beach to the town.

According to tradition in this place was martyred Sant'Efisio, Roman warrior who became christian. Not to be missed the event of the 1st of May the religious procession in honor of the saint who arrives here. The statue of Sant'efisio, coming from a church located at the center of Cagliari (Chiesetta di Stampace), stops in this church for a short period.

Resource: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=308623&ca=Travel

Buying travellers insurance is the best investment you can make when planning a trip

When you consider all the things that can happen when you travel, it is not surprising that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade strongly states that if you can’t afford to purchase travellers insurance then you can’t afford to travel. This applies to travel that is both domestic and international.

While most travel goes off without a hitch, there are those times when an illness, accident, or theft will occur. These situations are not your fault, but they are certainly your problem. It doesn’t matter if you did anything to cause the situation or not. You will be financially responsible for any costs that are incurred as a result of the problem.

Medical problems can be particularly devastating to your finances. According to recent estimates, a medical evacuation can cost more than $10,000. Deciding to travel to these locations without the protection of insurance is a risky proposition. It is also an unnecessary one. You can protect yourself, your family, and your finances by simply opting to buy travellers insurance.

Regardless of what type of travel you do, there is a policy that is perfect for your situation. You can purchase a one trip policy or if you are a frequent traveler, annual coverage. There are specialized policies to cover all situations from mature travelers to those going on a cruise. To get the best deal and view all your options all you need to do is a little comparison shopping for quotes. Before you know it you’ll be on your way to having that all important peace of mind that comes from knowing that whatever happens to disrupt your trip, you are protected.

When you are ready to shop for travellers insurance you need look no further than the Internet. A simple search on travellers insurance will yield dozens of good sites that can help you get pointed in the right direction. In addition to single company sites, you can find travellers insurance portal sites that will provide you with quotes from multiple companies.

Visitors to Australia can also benefit from an insurance policy that covers you and your family during your stay. You can purchase this insurance either before you arrive or once you get here. You will be protected in the case of a medical emergency as well as have coverage for lost or stolen luggage.

Your specific cost for insurance will depend on the policy limits, your gender, your age, preexisting medical conditions and other factors. Regardless of this, you can find a policy that is very affordable and perhaps even cheap! While you may be tempted to scrimp on this cost to save a little money, the consequences can be devastating. Even if the worst thing that happens is a lost bag or two, travellers insurance is a worthwhile purchase. After all, how much is too much for the peace of mind of knowing that regardless of what happens your finances are protected

Oklahoma Vacations: Agritourism Adventure Sites

Oklahoma is an excellent vacation spot in the United States. In the U.S. alone there are more than 72 million dogs and over 80 million cats. It is no surprise, then, that traveling with pets is a growing industry. While hotels and airlines are catching on to this growing trend, careful trip planning and preparation are essential for anyone wanting to travel with their furry friend.

According to Megan Hanson, a moderator for the Travel Forum at HotelDealsRevealed.com, pet friendly hotels are in high demand. “This is one of the most commonly asked questions we get on the forum,” she says. “It’s mostly people traveling with their dogs. They are doing road trips during the summer, and want to travel with their pets. They’re part of the family and want to spend vacation with their pets.”

“Hotels are catching on,” she adds. She is right. Best Western and La Quinta chains now offer many pet friendly hotels, as do many other chains. For a small extra fee, hotel guests can have their pet stay with them. Rooms dedicated for pets are usually in a dedicated section of the hotel that prevents other guests are not bothered by dander and pet noise. Some hotels even go one step further and offer pet recreation areas and sell food and other pet convenience items.

Airlines are also becoming more pet-friendly as well. There have been major improvements in the handling of “baggage class” pet travelers once they leave the care of the owners. These include: climate-controled areas, transport tags attached to the crate to indicate pet and owners information, and trained handlers. Some airlines now offer cabin class travel for pets, although this is usually restricted to small dogs and cats.

“This is a classic example of where supply had not kept up with demand,” states Hanson. “Hotel rooms book up early and people are often left scrambling to make alternate arrangements. There clearly isn’t enough pet-friendly rooms during the peak periods.” Summer months are typically the busiest.

Hanson offers this advice to travelers: “Spontaneous travel with pets is difficult. Don’t just hit the road and think you’ll find somewhere to sleep with your pet for the night. Plan your trip in detail. Make reservations early. Find out which parks in the area you’re staying allow dogs and inform yourself on local bylaws. Traveling with your pet doesn’t have to be a hassle, but it requires a lot of preparation.”

Five Countries You Really Must Visit If You Travel

As an avid traveller, there are five countries that stand out in my experience as places you really ought to make an effort to visit if at all possible. Here they are, together with my reasons.

1. Egypt: The Pyramids, of course, King Tutenkhamens Tomb, The Valley of The Kings. Wonderful places in their own right, but it's not all about artefacts and spectacular buldings etc. The Egyptian people are generous, kind, and welcoming. Happy to share anything, even if they have very little themselves.

Try a trip on the Nile in a felucca (traditional wooden sailing boat). Late afternoon is best, when you can experience the setting sun.

2. China: Not somewhere that immediately springs to mind when planning a travelling trip, but you really should, and it is becoming more popular as a destination, particularly since the Beijing olympics. Plan for a minimum of 7 days, a fortnight would be better. Take in Beijing, Xian, Shanghai (great for shopping), and a Yangtze river cruise is a must.

For the more adventurous, and a great experience go to Guilin. The landscape is awe-inspiring. Not really mountainous as such, but the peaks seem to rise almost vertically into the sky. Take a ski lift to the top of one of the peaks and get a toboggan down the 3000 feet.

3. Jordan: You could take in Jordan by combining it with a trip to Egypt. Cairo is only just over 300 miles from Amman, the capital, a wonderful place full of history, and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Do also go to Petra. This archaeological site is renowned for it's rock-cut architecture, and is one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Of course no visit to Jordan would be complete without a visit to the Dead Sea, this has so much concentration of salt and minerals in it that you can actually sit in the sea and read a book without getting it wet. Again, don't plan on a flying visit, to do Jordan justice you should be thinking of ten days.

4. Hong Kong: An amazing, frenetic, bustling place that fortunately has been pretty much left as it was by the Chinese since the end of the British lease in 1997.

As everyone knows, Hong Kong is the place to shop. Wander along Nathan Road and visit Temple Street Market for some teriffic bargains. Don't forget that the asking price is a starting price, and haggling is the name of the game. You'll probably get to enjoy it, as the chinese do.

As well as being a hustling metropolis, there is a wealth of tradition in Hong Kong too. A trip to Victoria Peak is a must do, although the weather does not always let you take advantage of the spectacular views. But ever enterprising, you will find locals at the top who will take your picture and digitally impose a clear background of the view at its best.

You can also take boat trips out to some of the surrounding Islands. Agreat way to chill out after some hard shopping!

5. Thailand: Yes, I know, Thailand does have a somewhat seedy reputation, especially in areas such as Bankok and Phuket. But away from those well known areas there is a remarkable country of culture and the most warm, friendly people.

There is one place you can go called the Thai Tiger Temple at Kanchanaburi where you can stroke live tigers, somewhat domesticated by the monks. Whatever you may feel about that, it is certainly an interesting experience.

Well, there you have it. Five countries you really should make an effort to visit.
